What kind of curtains should I get for windows with an air conditioner below it?

I want to buy curtains for my rooms, but both windows have an air conditioner below it. Can I still get long curtains? Or will it get in the way of the air conditioner? Should I get short curtains or will it look stupid?

      Curtains made with rod at the bottom as the kind that would solve the curtains blowing everywhere im thinking of the curtains blowing everywhere im thinking of the bottom as the window.
